Floriade 2022
From 14th April 2022 “Floriade 2022” will take place in Almere. A great moment to explore the county of Flevoland. At Bed & Breakfast De Kandelaar there is the opportunity for a stay in a peaceful, rural area of Flevoland. In addition, an excursion can be made at this modern dairy and arable farm, where milking is done by 2 DeLaval milking robots and not people. There is also a meeting room which fits up to 25 people so De Kandelaar can host meetings, small seminars and/or training sessions.
Spend the night
A visit to the Floriade is of course a great opportunity to get to know Flevoland ‘life on the original seabed’. At Bed & Breakfast De Kandelaar you can spend the night in the middle of Flevoland’s rural area. Experience and feel the space of life at 4 meters below sea level. After a well-earned night’s rest, you can visit the Oostvaardersplassen nature reserves or Lelystad nature park. If you would like to know more about the origins of Flevoland, we suggest visiting the ‘Nieuweland museum’.
Or something different; a visit to amusement park ‘Walibi’. End the day with a visit to one of the many restaurants in Dronten and the surrounding area. Enjoy the local products at the edge of Lake Veluwe at restaurant ‘Flantuas’, restaurant ‘Bremerbaai’ or restaurant ‘Nu’. The centre of Dronten also offers many restaurants such as ‘De Rede van Dronten’, restaurant ‘Moellies’ or restaurant ‘Aan de Fonteyn’.
Followed by a relaxing evening/night at Bed & Breakfast de Kandelaar. Sleep in a peaceful environment on a modern dairy and arable farm. You are more than welcome to take a look at the cows who are milked by the DeLaval milking robots or visit the calves, sheep, goats and get to know the dogs.
Excursion and meeting room
At De Kandelaar there is also the possibility for a tour of the dairy and arable farm. We are happy to tell and share with you all about our dairy cows and arable crops. The use of antibiotic-free products is our top priority. For the cultivation of our arable crops, we use precision agriculture to minimize the use of pesticides and fertilizers. In addition to our guided tours, we can also provide lunches. Or if you would like to organise a meeting and/or training session in a rural peaceful setting we have a meeting room for up to 25 people and parking is free.
